Finding Our Way Home

We still have the curiosity and joy within us

I love the quote about us being in this world but not of this world. I feel that way often. I believe that coaching is a way of connecting to each other again. It can give some of us an opportunity to find our way “home” again. “Home”, in my opinion, is the heart. From that place we are more resilient, compassionate, courageous and loving.

My coaching style is driven by a desire to open people’s minds and hearts to the idea that the rules we’ve created for this life on earth are counter to our nature. (Competition, judgement, categorisation etc.) I help my clients explore how they can “be” in this world without losing connection to the 5 year old within. Who were you when you were 5? That child is still in there - with all of the innocence and potential you need to live a full life. I help clients see the defences that now make up “who we are”. We are so much more!

So even if you’re a high-powered executive with enormous responsibility in an organisation, you are still a human being first. I speak to the human. When we try to deal with the practicalities of life without looking at the underlying consciousness, we are paddling up-stream.

Working out “who we are” is hard work but it’s the only work there is!
